The “growing bookcase” project explores load-bearing structures and attempts to create a bookcase that continuously grows or plays with the eccentricities of its curves. At present, the project is presented in two forms.
The structure is composed of conical vertical elements that slot into the bookshelf. The holes in the shelves are shaped according to the radius of the section of these conical elements. When two or more bookshelves need to be connected, certain shelf modules can function as joint connectors between the different units.
